WICHITA COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — Five bond propositions for improvements on various roads throughout Burkburnett were voted upon by residents during May 7’s Special Election.

The five proposed bonds total $10.6 million, and if all five were to pass, the tax increase on a home appraised at $100,000 would total over $141.

  • Proposition A — $2,680,000 for improvements on Roller Road (+$35.46)
  • Proposition B — $730,000 for improvements on Meadow Drive and Dell Street (+$9.96)
  • Proposition C — $1,735,000 for improvements on Kramer Road and Ameron Road (+$23.07)
  • Proposition D — $1,120,000 for improvements on County Road and Williams Drive (+$15.16)
  • Proposition E — $4,395,000 for improvements on Sioux Lane, Chaparral Road, Hiawatha Lane, Red Fox Lane and Pawhuska Lane (+$57.97)

Ultimately, voters in Burkburnett passed none of the five proposals:

  • Proposition A — FAILED receiving 947 NO votes
  • Proposition B — FAILED receiving 948 NO votes
  • Proposition C — FAILED receiving 886 NO votes
  • Proposition D — FAILED receiving 942 NO votes
  • Proposition E — FAILED receiving 949 NO votes
